Thank you for your interest in Math Competition Club!
Math Competition Club or “MC2” is a before-school program intended to get kids excited about learning math and prepare them for success in popular math competitions like the CML, VML, AMC 8, and Math Counts.
The program is intended for students in grades 4-6 who have a strong interest in math, and we are admitting some 3rd graders subject to availability and satisfactory results on the placement test. Students will be placed into one of two groups: the “Archimedeans” (advanced) who will meet on Tuesday/Thursday mornings from 7:30 - 8:20am, and the “Pythagoreans” (intermediate) who will meet on Monday/Wednesday mornings from 7:30 - 8:20am. A math placement test will be conducted prior to the start of classes to confirm proper placement, tentatively on Friday, September 13th. Classes would begin on September 16th.
We plan to have 15 - 20 students in each group. The cost of the program will be $760 per student for the entire session from September through March. We are asking for a full-year commitment to ensure the viability of the program during the math competition season and give all students the best chance to succeed.
Please pay the registration fee by Thursday September 12th.
